Tadiswa Prayer Mavindidze

Tadiswa Prayer Mavindidze

Young Authors’ Ambassador · Ssali Publishing House

Tadiswa Prayer Mavindidze is a young Zimbabwean author whose debut, I Am His, shares her Christian faith with other young readers. Reported as nine years old at her 2026 launch, she began with a simple conviction: children have stories and beliefs worth sharing.

Mentored by author Mabel Marcelene Masigale, Tadiswa brought her first book to readers at Westque Academy in Harare. ZimSphere covered the launch in August 2026, reporting the attendance of Farai Jere MP and a representative of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.

Ssali Publishing House appointed her Young Authors’ Ambassador in recognition of her writing and commitment to encouraging young people to read, write and share their stories with confidence. Her certificate records the appointment in conjunction with UNISA Press.

Tadiswa, speaking about why she wrote I Am His.Read her interview

One young author has shared her words. Another child can begin with a colour, a character or a first sentence. The character set and Tadiswa’s own pencil case are two separate companions for that beginning.

I AM HIS / CHARACTER COLOURING SET

The story is hers. The colours are yours.

The story can continue after reading aloud: colour a child and lamb beside a baobab, follow a path to school, or choose a star and give it a colour of your own. Different activities leave room for every young reader’s imagination.
